See my blog for properties that have been associated with essential oils and ingredients.
I use tinted glass jars, PET tinted plastic bottles, as well as, post recycled/ recyclable containers for my products to protect the potency of the Essential Oils. Kept away from sunlight, Essential Oils can retain their strength for up to 2 years.
My personal preferences are:
FRANKINCENSE & MYRRH: They contain properties that have been said to have anti-aging effects. These are my personal favorites for myface lotion. I use a Argan/Rosehip blend carrier oil for it’s' properties along with Coconut oil, and Shea butter. This is also my favorite lip balm recipe.
LAVENDER & CHAMOMILE: Lavender is known to be calming, and said to contain antibiotic properties, Chamomile seems to relieve stress and inflammation. I use this lotion for my feet, which is an excellent place to apply Essential Oils for absorption into the blood stream. I have used Black Seed Oil with Coconut Oil and also an Almond/Jojoba blend with Coconut Oil for this lotion with great results.
HELICHRYSUM & LAVENDER: Helichrysum is a topical pain reliever, it is the plant that aspirin is made from so it is an anti-coagulant. If you are aspirin sensitive or have had surgery recently DO NOT USE OR ASK YOUR DR. FIRST! Helichrysum works very well for me nd relieves my leg cramps instantly when they wake me up at night. I use this as a lotion and I also make Magnesium & Helichrysum oils in roller bottles that works instantly, too.
TEA TREE OIL & LAVENDER: Tea Tree Oil is a known natural anti-fungal and Lavender works as a natural antibiotic. This combination is a holistic healing balm, I use it for any scratch, scrape, or irritation of the skin. It has replaced Neosporin in my first aid kit. I usually use the Almond/Jojoba blend with Coconut Oil and Shea Butter for this recipe.
